SYMPTOMS

File receive functions fail and generate an error that is similar to the following one in the BizTalk Server Application log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BizTalk Server
Event Category: Document Processing
Event ID: 324
Date: 10/16/2001
Time: 19:10
User: N/A
Computer: BIZTALKSERVER
Description:
An error occurred in BizTalk Server.
Details:
------------------------------
Library not registered.

If this error is recorded, the File receive function may stop picking up files from the directory. In some instances, the File receive function may disable itself.

CAUSE

The File receive function tries to access certain registry keys during the submitting process. If the Messaging Service is not a member of the local Administrators group, the registry lookup may fail due to insufficient credentials. After this failure, the files are not removed from the directory that the Receive function monitors and the Receive function may become disabled.
