SYMPTOMS
In Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Internet Explorer 6, the DocumentComplete event may not be triggered as expected. This problem is likely to occur if you are browsing in a new Internet Explorer window (for example, if you are browsing after you click a link that opens a new Internet Explorer window).
CAUSE
This problem is caused by a previous fix to Mshtml.dll.
RESOLUTION
Internet Explorer 6
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer 6. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:

WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, Web page developers can use the DownloadComplete event instead of the DocumentComplete event. However, this may not achieve the same results.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.
