SYMPTOMS
When you download e-mail message headers by means of Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), the headers do not contain the Sent and To fields. The Sent field contains the value "None," and the To field is empty. When you download the full message, the fields are set with the correct values.
CAUSE
Outlook does not support a server-based "Sent Items" folder. This is the only folder that needs the To and Sent fields. In a scenario where you are copying the sent e-mail messages from the local store to the IMAP "Sent Mail" folder, it is very useful to see the fields in the header.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

MORE INFORMATION
WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
The fix implements the following DWORD registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\IMAP Use Full Headers
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\IMAP Use Full Headers
When this value is present and set to a non-zero value, full headers are converted instead of just the minimal property set. The value in the Policies branch is checked first, and takes precedence, if present.
- Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
- Locate and click one of the following registry keys (depending on where you want to set the option):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
- On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: IMAP Use Full Headers
Data type: REG_DWORD
Radix: Hexadecimal
Value data: 1 - Quit Registry Editor.
