SYMPTOMS
After you change the properties of a table that contains an inserted comment, the comment bubble may disappear.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you insert the comment in the last row of the table and both of the following conditions are true:
- The Height value for the row that contains the comment has been increased.
- The Allow row to break across pages check box has been cleared.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND
Use the Reviewing pane to view any missing comments. To do this, click Show on the Reviewing toolbar, and then click Reviewing Pane.
Note If the Reviewing toolbar does not appear, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Reviewing.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 2.
