Summary:
When loading a Lotus 1-2-3 file into Excel, the file recalculates when opened. When Excel opens a .WKS or .WK1 file, it must recalculate the worksheet to construct its data-dependency tables. The recalculation of the worksheet cannot be postponed or turned off.
