When you install Internet Explorer on a computer that is running one of the following operating systems, you can modify the installation process by using command-line switches in conjunction with the Ie6setup.exe file:
- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
- Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
- Microsoft Windows 98
Command-Line Switches
- /Q
Quiet mode for package. This switch is useful for a silent installation in batch installations.
- /T:full path
Specifies a temporary working folder, for example, ie6setup /T:c:\temp.
- /C
Extract files only to the folder when used with the /T switch. This allows an administrator to download files into a specified location.
- /C:command
Override installation command that was defined by an author.
