SYMPTOMS
When a Terminal Services client connects to a Terminal Services server, the printer on the client computer may be redirected to the server as a printer with ports ranging from TS000 to TS999 for the logged-on user. If a print spooler stops working or if the server is restarted, print jobs that are sent to such printers are restarted after the print spooler is restarted and the port name is reconnected. However, the printer may not be the same Terminal Services client printer and the print jobs may be printed on a different client computer.

The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. On a Windows 2000-based client computer, install the latest service pack, and then follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers
- On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
- Type DiscardTSJobs, and then press ENTER.
- On the Edit menu, click Modify.
- Type 1 in the Value data box, click Decimal in the Base area, and then click OK.
Note When you set the DiscardTSJobs registry entry to 1, jobs from Terminal Services redirected printers are not restarted when the spooler restarts. The DiscardTSJobs registry entry has a default value of 0. - Exit Registry Editor.
