When a user that is using a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) realm account tries to log on to a Windows 2000-based computer that is not connected to the network, the user may not be able to log on. Note that this may occur even though the user might expect to be able to successfully use cached credentials to satisfy the logon request. However, the logon request may succeed if connectivity to the network and servers is available.
