SYMPTOMS

When you try to print a large Enhanced Metafile (EMF) format graphics file, the print job may not be completed. When this problem occurs, you may receive the following error message:

ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY

Note This problem occurs even when there is sufficient memory available on your Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer.

CAUSE

When the printer properties data type is set to EMF, a miscalculation may occur in the EMF print spool size that is required to print the job.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
