To run Microsoft Wireless Desktop, you need all of the following:

  • Microsoft IntelliType Pro keyboard software (included in package)
  • IntelliPoint mouse software (included in package)
  • Two AA and three AAA batteries (included in package)
  • A personal computer with a Pentium 133-megahertz (MHz)-or-faster processor
  • An operating system running Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 (SP6)-or-later, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), or Microsoft Windows XP
  • 32 megabytes (MB) of RAM for a Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0-based computer; 64 MB or RAM for Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP
  • 60 MB of available hard disk space
  • A CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
  • A PS/2 keyboard connection to your computer, and a round mouse port (PS/2-compatible)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 with SP2 or later (Internet Explorer 5.5 browser software included, requires 45 MB of additional hard disk space)
  • Optional: Windows Media Player 7 (included, and requires up to 60 MB of additional hard disk space, depending on your operating system; not compatible with Windows NT 4.0)
