SYMPTOMS
When you try to send a message by means of CompuServe's Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) server, you may receive the following error messages:

If you receive the second error message, Outlook Express does copy the e-mail message to the Sent Items folder.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, verify that Outlook Express is properly configured to work with CompuServe's IMAP server. After you verify that Outlook Express is properly configured to work with CompuServe's IMAP server, complete the following steps:
- Start Outlook Express.
- On the Tools menu, click Accounts, and then click IMAP Account.
- Click Properties, and then click the IMAP tab.
- Click to clear the Store special folders on IMAP server check box.
- Click OK.
- Restart Outlook Express.
