SYMPTOMS
In a mixed-mode (Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange 2000) environment, if a mailbox or other non-container object (such as a distribution list) exists in Exchange Server 5.5, and you create a container (such as an organizational unit) in Active Directory with the same name as the mailbox or other non-container object in Exchange Server 5.5, the Active Directory Connector (ADC) may not be able to process naming collisions between containers and non-containers; objects under collided containers may not replicate.
The mailbox or distribution list in Exchange Server 5.5 that has the same name as the organizational unit in Active Directory may not replicate to Active Directory.
