SYMPTOMS
When you click the Setup button in print preview, nothing happens, even though you can actually click the button.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
- You are running Excel under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, or Microsoft Windows Millennium (Me).
-and-
- You are running ScanSoft TextBridge Pro 98 or later on the same computer.
WORKAROUND
If you don't use the TextBridge Instant Access feature in Excel, you can work around this problem by following these steps:
- Quit Excel.
- Click Start, point to Programs, and then click TextBridge Pro 98.
- In the Instant Access Control Panel, click to clear the Microsoft Excel check box, and then click OK.
- Restart Excel.
The Setup button in print preview works as expected.
If you do use the TextBridge Instant Access feature, you can work around this problem by removing Excel from your computer and reinstalling it.
NOTE: You must install Excel after TextBridge is installed for the Setup button to work correctly.
STATUS
This problem occurs when you use Microsoft Excel 2000 and ScanSoft TextBridge Pro 98.
