OL2002: OAB Settings Are Not Retained When You Upgrade from Outlook 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade from Microsoft Outlook 2000 to Microsoft Outlook 2002, your settings in the Offline Address Book (OAB) in Outlook 2000 are not retained.

Furthermore, after upgrading you will note that your Offline Address Book settings will be set to download the Offline Address Book with no details.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP-2).
