319632 Device Manager Hangs After You Remove a USB Camera
Your portable computer may stop responding (hang) when you try to resume it from standby. This problem may occur under the following conditions:
- Your computer is compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification.
- Your computer is connected to a port replicator that supports Universal Serial Bus (USB).
- You connect a USB camera to the port replicator before you suspend the computer
CAUSE
When the computer resumes, the USB camera port driver (Stream.sys) blocks when a system routine incorrectly queues a power-management I/O request packet (IRP) instead of forwarding it to the USB hub driver (Usbhub.sys). System threads that handle power IRPs must not block.
RESOLUTION
