Power Management Tab Does Not Appear on Intel Itanium Computer on Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

On an Intel Itanium-based computer, you cannot find the Power Management tab in the Properties dialog box for an OPTi USB root hub.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Intel Itanium-based computers do not support any power management features on an OPTi root hub.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
