SYMPTOMS
After installing Symantec pcAnywhere version 9.xx on a Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive the following error message when you restart the computer:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, obtain and run the Symantec file that provides compatibility with Windows 2000:
- Go to the following Symantec Web site:
- In the search window, type "pcAnywhere 9.0 and Windows 2000" to gain access to the knowledge base article that identifies the necessary update file, 921up.exe, and then download the file.
- Restart the computer in Safe mode, and then run 921up.exe.
MORE INFORMATION
This error should not occur if you specify the LiveUpdateOption when you install pcAnywhere.
