SYMPTOMS
On the General tab of the System Properties dialog box, the text label of the Support Information button may get corrupted when you use the Physical Address Extension (PAE) switch in the Boot.ini file. The text label of the button appears as "hysical Address Extensio" instead of "Physical Address Extension."
CAUSE
This problem occurs because there is a limited amount of line space within the System Properties dialog box, and the text "Physical Address Extension" overlaps the button.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, remove the "Model=" line entry from the Oeminfo.ini file. The "Model=" entry is an optional entry in the Oeminfo.ini file.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior
- Set up Windows 2000.
- Create a new file named Oeminfo.ini, and paste the following text:
[General] Manufacturer = Awesome Computer, Inc. Model = Super Computer Model 1213 SupportURL =http://www.AwesomeComputers.com LocalFile= C:\Winnt\Web\LocalFilename.htm [Support Information] Line1= For Technical Support: Line2= to obtain updated drivers or for information on frequently Line3= asked questions, go to the Awesome Computers technical Line4= support web site at: Line5= Line6= http://www.AwesomeComp.com/techsupport. - Save Oeminfo.ini in the \WinNT\System32 directory.
Modify the C:\Boot.ini file, and add the /PAE switch to the line that corresponds to the operating system. For example:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect /pae- Restart the computer. Notice that the Support Information button in the System Properties dialog box appears as "hysical Address Extensio."
