FIX: Null Value That Is Passed to COM+ Components Becomes Empty When You Marshal Java Strings

Article ID: 305033

Article Last Modified on 6/5/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft COM+ 1.0, when used with:
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 1
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 2

This article was previously published under Q305033

SYMPTOMS

If you use Microsoft virtual machine for Java (Microsoft VM), a null value that passes from a Java client to a Java-based COM+ component invokes a Java class file. The Java class file in turn calls another Java-based COM+ component and then may be returned as an empty string instead of as a null string.
