SYMPTOMS
When you specify a location for temporary storage of global agent settings, the temporary storage of global consolidator settings is automatically set to the same location, and vice versa.
Additionally, although you specify those settings in the user interface, there may be nothing stored in the specified location.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

For example, if you specify d:\test as the temporary storage Data Directory location under Global Settings for agents, the temporary storage Data Directory location under Global Settings for consolidators is also d:\test.
