SYMPTOMS
When BizTalk Server 2000 is running under a high load condition, the following error may be generated in the Application event log:
CAUSE
The error in the BizTalk Messaging Service Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Pseudo Provider is caused by the Windows 2000 WMI Provider unloading prematurely. When the WMI provider unloads, all BizTalk Server WMI Events fail, which causes an Access Violation in BizTalk Server.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1a.
