SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Visio, you may receive the following error message:

Visio32.exe - Entry Point Not Found.

The procedure entry point _lc_collate_cp could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the installation does not install the Msvcrt.dll file correctly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Quit any programs that are running, and temporarily turn off any antivirus software.
2. Insert the Visio 2000 CD.
3. In Windows Explorer, browse to \Install\bin\sp\spcore, and then right-click Spcore.msi. Click Uninstall.
4. Right-click Spcore.msi again, and then click Install.
5. If you are prompted to do so, restart your computer.
