SYMPTOMS
When you are using Exchange 2000 Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) and you reply to Web mail from a foreign mail system and include an attachment in the reply, the recipient may receive a Winmail.dat file as well as the original attachment. This Winmail.dat file is not generated when you use Exchange 2000 OWA to reply to a message with an attachment from Exchange 2000 OWA.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
