SUMMARY

Microsoft Windows 2000 TCP/IP performance has been enhanced by making the following changes to the TCP/IP stack:

  • Allowing multiple concurrent TCP segmentation offload requests to offload-capable NDIS miniports.
  • Suppressing unnecessary memory operations when hardware offloading is used.
  • Optimizing NDIS to allocate virtual memory only when requested by a network adapter driver.

The enhancements listed above have been included as a hotfix for Windows 2000.
