SYMPTOMS
When you try to call the GetInfo method of the IADs interface, which is a part of the Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) application programming interface (API), you may receive an access violation in the Profile service.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because of improper error handling within the GetInfo method. If the GetInfo method fails, there is potential for an access violation.
RESOLUTION

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Commerce Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
