FIX: Error "Invalid Procedure Call or Argument" When You Close Export Dialog Box

SYMPTOMS

When you use the BTConfigAssistant sample that is included in BizTalk Server 2000, if you close the Export dialog box (which is generated when you click Export on the File menu, and then click Selected Items or Entire Configuration), you receive the following error message:

Invalid procedure call or argument

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

NOTE: BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) does not update the BTConfAssistant.exe file. To apply this fix to the BTConfAssistant.exe file, you must recompile BTConfAssistant.exe from the project file at \Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server\SDK\Messaging Samples\BTConfigAssistant\BTConfAssistant.vbp after you apply BizTalk Server 2000 SP1.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
