FIX: XLANG Monitor Sample Does Not Record Events Until You Start a Second Instance

SYMPTOMS

The BizTalk Software Development Kit (SDK) XLANG Monitor sample (XLANGMon.exe) does not display any events for monitored schedules until you start a second instance of the XLANG Monitor.

XLANG Monitor is located in the \Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000\SDK\Xlang Tools\ folder.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the XLANG Monitor SDK sample occasionally fails to receive XLANG engine events at startup until it resubscribes to the engine events.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
