SYMPTOMS

BizTalk Messaging may generate an output document that contains unreadable, garbage characters from a MIME-encoded input document, which contains attachments with Japanese double-byte character set (DBCS) characters.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
