SYMPTOMS
The first time that you use the Terminal (Pegterm.exe) program after a warm boot with a connection set for a manual device (or other non-default settings), the dial settings are not applied to the connection device. Using the same connection set works properly.
This issue can occur only if there is more than one connection device.
CAUSE
When Terminal initializes, it does not determine the appropriate device to use before applying settings. The settings are instead applied to the first TAPI device (device 0). Later, it selects the appropriate device before attempting to dial.
RESOLUTION
A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 3.0 Core OS QFE 30. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:
