SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000 on a computer that already has the MOM user groups (such as OnePointOp ConfgAdms and OnePointOp System), Setup generates a message that states it will add new users and the Domain Administrators group to the OnePoint user groups. If the groups already exist, Setup only adds the Agent Manager/Consolidator account and the currently logged on user account to the OnePointOp groups. The Domain Administrators group is only added if the OnePointOp group did not previously exist.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, manually add the Domain Administrators group to the MOM user groups.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
