SYMPTOMS
Outlook 2002 can use an archived certificate to sign a message when it should not. Therefore, the recipient receives a message that indicates that there is an invalid signature.
CAUSE
Outlook 2002 does not include the correct certificate in the message that it sends.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
