SYMPTOMS
After you install Service Pack 1, when you use a program to lock out a user account, the "account locked" information for the user may not be correct in the cache. If it is not correct in the cache, the lockout property is not assigned to the user.
RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
