SYMPTOMS
When you try to mount a database in Microsoft Exchange Server, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if there is insufficient free disk space on the drive that contains the databases that you are trying to mount.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, free some disk space on the drive, and then try to mount the database again.
If the Exchange database files are the only files that are located on the hard disk, you may have to perform an offline defragmentation of the databases to free disk space.
For more information about how to do this, click the following article numbers to view the articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

If the Exchange transaction log files are also located on this drive, and if there are too many logs, you may be able to free disk space by removing unnecessary log files.
