SYMPTOMS

When you run a Java application and use Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) to access a mailbox, you may encounter an access violation.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by a race condition in OLE32.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
