SYMPTOMS
When you use the Windows 2000 Event Trace functions, there is no way to give an event source (an event provider) new control flags without disabling and re-enabling the source. This can result in the loss of trace events while the source is being re-enabled.
Calling the EnableTrace function on an event source (provider) that is already enabled returns ERROR_WMI_ALREADY_ENABLED (decimal 4206 or hexadecimal 0x106e).
