FIX: MS DTC May Reject Legal End Tag "\r\n" for PULL and PUSH Messages

Article ID: 293340

Article Last Modified on 6/5/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft COM+ 1.0, when used with:
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 2

This article was previously published under Q293340

SYMPTOMS

When you send PULL or PUSH messages to Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC), if you include "\r\n" at the end, MS DTC only sends the "\n" at the end of PULL and PUSH messages and may periodically drop the connections.

To comply with the TIP specification, MS DTC should consider "\r\n" as valid at the end of a line. The "\n" should be treated as a blank line.
