SYMPTOMS
When you run the Flow Chart Report, if you use 'd' as the unit to represent days in a Duration field, Microsoft Visio displays the data in decimal inches, rather than in units of duration.
CAUSE
By default, the custom Duration property of the basic flowchart shapes uses the data type Number, instead of Duration.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, change the Type setting of the custom Duration field to Duration, instead of Number (the default). To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click the target shape, point to Shape, and then click Custom Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Click Define.
- In the Properties list, click Duration.
- In the Type list, change the setting from Number to Duration.
- Click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
