SUMMARY
This article describes how to open to a specific Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) folder in Microsoft Outlook by using a command-line switch.
MORE INFORMATION
You can use a command-line switch to open to a specific folder. The folder that you want to open must be in the same folder tree as your default delivery location. For instance, if your default delivery location is your mailbox, only folders that are under the mailbox can be opened by using the command-line switch.
To open Outlook to the default Calendar folder, use the following syntax:
Outlook.exe /select outlook:calendar
To open Outlook to a custom folder that is called MyStuff in your default e-mail folder, use the following syntax:
Outlook.exe /select outlook:MyStuff
