Web Images Appear Only Partially, Web Page Links Missing on Computer with SiS Video Adapter

SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5 on a Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0-based computer equipped with an SiS video adapter, you may find that some Web images are not displayed correctly. The following behavior may occur:

  • Only the outline of a .gif image appears.
  • When you click an image, only the top half of it appears.
  • The page may scroll down without being prompted.
  • Web page links do not appear.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, restart the computer in VGA mode, and then reinstall the drivers for the video card.
