The ISA Server Array Configuration Cannot Be Restored

SUMMARY

When you try to restore settings in Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, you may receive the following error message:

The array configuration cannot be restored since there is a mismatch between the current array configuration and the restored array configuration

ISA Server does not support the following ISA restore scenarios:

Restoring a .bif file to the same rebuilt computer without restoring the system state first (this applies to the stand-alone version only).
Restoring a stand-alone .bif file to another computer.
Restoring an ISA Server array .bif file to another array.
Restoring any backup file to a different version (for example, stand-alone to Enterprise, or Enterprise to stand-alone).
