SYMPTOMS
When you dictate a number, Word may spell out the number instead of inserting the numeral or numerals.
CAUSE
This functionality is by design in Microsoft Word. When you dictate a number that is less than 20, Word spells out the number by default. However, if you dictate a number that is greater than 20, Word inserts the digits (numerals) of the number.
RESOLUTION
To force Word to insert a numeral or numerals when you dictate a number, say "force num" before you say the number. For example, to insert a numeral 5, say "force num five".
