To resolve the issues raised by this virus, run the McAfee AntiVirus program, and then do the following to extract Notepad:
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information.
- On the Tools menu, click System File Checker.
- Click Extract One File From Installation Disk, type Notepad.exe in the box, and then click Start.
- In the Restore from box, type D:\Win98, using the correct drive letter for your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- In the Save file in box, type C:\Windows, and then click OK.
- Restart the computer, and then start Notepad.
