SYMPTOMS

When you view date information for a file that is stored on a UNIX-based File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server (or an FTP server that is running Internet Information Services [IIS] that is running in UNIX folder listing style mode), the year information may appear as one year later than the correct year. You may notice this problem while you are using a command-line FTP client program.

This problem also occurs when you use both the FtpFindFirstFile and InternetFindNextFile functions to retrieve file information from a UNIX-based FTP server.
