SYMPTOMS
The Migration Wizard does not migrate encrypted Lotus Notes calendar data, and this is by design. Instead, when the wizard sees encrypted data, it migrates a message that tells users that the data in the message was encrypted and could not be migrated. Therefore, users at least sees a placeholder where the encrypted data should be, that tells them why the data is absent.
The problem is that the Migration Wizard does not migrate this placeholder for appointments that are encrypted by the recipients. In other words, if users set their Notes mailbox to encrypt all invitations they receive, which includes those that the meeting organizer did not set to encrypt, the Migration Wizard does not migrate the placeholder for this appointment.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1.
