SYMPTOMS

When you use ATI Multimedia Center to view television programming by using the ATI All in Wonder adapter, you may receive the following error message:

The TV Player failed to initialize the video.

Ensure that the correct video drivers have been installed and close any applications which may be playing video such as DVD or Web TV before attempting to restart the TV.

You may receive this error message even though no other programs are playing video when you attempt to start ATI TV Player.

CAUSE

This issue may occur in any of the following scenarios:

  • Microsoft NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing is activated.
  • NetMeeting or other video or conferencing software is running.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, quit NetMeeting if it is running, or turn off Remote Desktop Sharing. To turn off Remote Desktop Sharing, right-click the NetMeeting icon in the task bar, and then click Turn off Remote Desktop Sharing
