SYMPTOMS

When you start Outlook, you may receive the following error message:

The name could not be resolved. The Microsoft Exchange Address Book is unable to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking protocol is damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, uninstall and then reinstall the TCP/IP networking protocol for your operating system.
