SYMPTOMS
When Outlook 2002 automatically detects and imports a Eudora 5.0 address book into Outlook 2002, the address entries in Outlook are not correct.
This behavior also occurs if you manually import a Eudora 5.0 address book into Outlook 2002.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Eudora 5.0 is not compatible with Outlook 2002.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, export the Eudora 5.0 address book to a standard format, for example Microsoft Excel or a comma-separated values (.csv) file, and then import the data to Outlook 2002.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
