SYMPTOMS
When you restore a Windows Server 2003-based Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) database, this does not restore the DNS Credentials value.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the DNS Credentials value is not backed up due to security reasons.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior you have to manually re-enter the credentials after you restore a Windows Server 2003 DHCP database.
