SYMPTOMS
In Access 2000, when you query a linked SQL Server 2000 table that contains a field defined with a data type of BigInt, returned data is incorrectly mapped to Binary instead of to TEXT, which can appear in the form of indecipherable symbols within the linked Microsoft Access table.
RESOLUTION

STATUS
