SYMPTOMS
If a dial-up connection is configured to show a terminal window after dialing, the terminal window does not appear in a Terminal Services session and the following error message appears:
CAUSE
The Routing and Remote Access feature of Windows 2000 contains a named object that is used with the terminal window that appears after dialing. This object is named for the Terminal Services session namespace, but the code that supports the terminal window looks for the object in the global namespace.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
